Description:  A poster for the Centennial Marathon Ski Tour (now the Canadian Ski Marathon), February 18-20, 1967. The marathon trail ran 120 miles from Montreal to Ottawa via Lachute and Plantagenet with both touring and race components. Teams, families and individuals were encouraged to participate and prizes and centennial medals were to be awarded. At the bottom of the poster is Don MacLeod's address, to contact for more information.
The poster features the figure of a skier with the centennial maple leaf with the date in the centre over top. There are also maps at the bottom of the finish point in Ottawa, the starting point in Montreal and an overview of the whole route.
The print is black with the exception of the maple leaf and date which are in red. The poster is printed on heavy paper or cardstock.
Approximately four hundred people participated in the first Centennial Marathon Ski Tour. Now, over four thousand people of all ages and abilities take part in the annual two day event in the Laurentians following the trail from Lachute to Gatineau.
